Just saw a post where a person was being negotiated down during job recruitment.
If expected to spend hours custom tailoring my skills on paper (resume & even CV) to prove my worthiness and do the critical thinking analysis of how I can do it, that HR/ hiring manager can’t afford to waste their time doing… Then attending rounds of interviews… god for bid interviewee hopes, or stops applying to other opportunities.
Can they not just post the salary range so no one wastes time, we don’t exactly like in a era we’re time is readily available to play rounds of pointless games.
Candidate needs X$ to live, company can only afford x dollars, is this a mutually beneficial relationship or exploitation, let them play a few a rounds and find out, candidate will give you 4 rounds of time (plus the application) for free only to find out you can’t afford there basic rent and bills.
No one loves to work that much unless you are job 2.
If custom tailoring applications, the math says, at max, using AI, 4-5 jobs a day, 20-25 a week, 80-100 a month. The market says 600 applications on avg to get a job, so while you are exploiting my emergency fund, and time so I can prove I can do it, so u can minimize risk and cost, you want me to go round and round and I am not even in the door. Ummmmm….
Also , if hiring process uses AI, to make it easier why can’t applicant? Is that not working smarter not harder?
Well mr ceo (statistically speaking) go on and exploit people for greed, I’ll get an OF and exploit your hormones, and your greed, when you pay me to watch me blow bubbles with gum.
It could have been more but, I’d rather not waste my time on a toxic relationship or do much more then bubbles for your money.
