I have hated work for years but I was content on having money and living a stable life. I'm a teacher and I'm reminded yearly how much I fucking hate my job. Well, they found a new way to make me hate my job. A few weeks ago, I was applying for another job within the school and because of circumstances outside of my control I was told I wasn't going to be considered for the job. That job would've given me a lot of freedom and better work life balance. Now I have to go back to the same shit work I've been doing for years.
I know some people will say the solution would be to just quit the school. I've tried for years and I'm currently trying now. It's so fucking depressing to not even be considered on the outside of the school. I've tried applying to all kinds of jobs and the story is just the same, my skills aren't transferable. I wish I could just go back many years ago and just not choose this work.
