Love the company! As for the job, its entry-level. I have an MBA. I feel quite unchallenged in the current role. I have been in this role for 3+ months and I am at the point of just feeling checked out. Very mundane work…… Yes, I love my co-workers, but I feel like I am not growing. I feel like I could benefit from a mentor, and a role that is more challenging……perhaps a leadership role or more analytical. I love the company and the culture, and don't want to leave……I just want a role that is a better fit for me. Something more “appropriately challening”. I spent 5 years on an MBA and want to use some skills on it. I don't feel like its a complete waste of time and money.
How soon is too soon? I checked my company's policy and there is no policy on the 6 months, 12 months or 18 months before transferring. It says you can ask for a “grade level” change anytime you feel you want one……but you need to have a conversation with your manager though. Thoughts on where to begin?
