Once upon a time I was struggling to make money so I figured let's get another part time job that I can do before my main part time job.
I applied for a cleaning job in a gym and got hired. So they had me train on both locations.
I already hated the way logging in worked. It was with finger prints and you could not sign out 5 min late or early.
Anyway I got allong fine with the permanent lady (let's call her PL) I was working with. She showed me how to clean the showers and what solutions to use (she was very specific which how many on what days to use the soap or acid)
Then she had off over the holidays and I was going to do her tasks for those days. I was on a 0 hour contract just filling in when people were free or sick.
Having no days off is illegal so when PL wasn't there somebody else would do it like me on filling in basis.
After the weekend of i worked with PL again she showed me pictures she took of the cleaning closet before she had the weekend off. And said that the one filling in over the weekend had not used the solutions. Cause they where still in the same spot and turned as how she left them.
And I knew I was out. If colleagues are so obsessed and going to check everything you do. It just felt toxic. I worked the week over the holidays like I promised and then told them I was not gonna do it anymore.
With the training and working that week I worked 27h in total. They even asked me to send an official resignation letter or something but I just stopped responding.
Anyway my main part time job paid for a 3y course to get me trained and have finished that for a year now. And I made double the euros last year as I did 4y ago. No more extra part time jobs for me.
