building GM engaged to lower coworker… Nepotism much?

It's not a problem with the GM Dan, he seems like a decent enough guy. I think? But my coworker Ashley SUCKS. and the entire last month I thought she was just doing the bare minimum, showing up late, leaving early, super long breaks (hour+ on 15 minutes), going to Starbucks for no reason, pushing off tasks saying “someone else can do that” and has this generally nasty attitude and I'm like damn this company just doesn't care as long as you show up I guess. so I started doing way less after seeing how little Ashley did, apparently that's NOT ok. My direct manager was like “why are you not doing (whatever) quicker? Why did you just go on break without telling anyone?” And I'm like “Ashley….? “No, she's Dan's fiance so don't learn from her example she'll get you fired. Nobody here really likes her but what can you do y'know?”

I was kinda shocked but it all clicked and immediately made sense.

What the hell am I even supposed to do? Not really trying to pick up slack constantly because she can't get fired. Should I just look for a new job?
