So my company sucks, horrible ethics, glassdoor reviews from former and current employees to prove it.
Pretty much all year I've been unjustly given the subliminal message that I'm on the cusp of being “fired” when really they're masking layoffs as fake performance issues to avoid being in the press for tech layoffs like everyone else.
Anywho, since that first comment was made I started looking and will likely have an offer in my inbox by Mon or Tues next week (1 interview away 🤘).
My manager told me in person and off the record that they were going to put me on a “PIP” that even he says is bs and doesn't think I should be in this position. But that was like 2 months ago and he keeps claiming that he's been too busy to do the formal paper work to start it. I started getting suspicious that the company changed his mind and actually just wants him to fire me out of the blue instead.
So… to the main point: all managers meet with their reports once a week in a scheduled 30min time slot. Mine is on Wednesdays, BUT my manager just put a random no title, no agenda, 1hr meeting on my calendar for 9am next Wednesday that is also a payday.
I'm assuming this means after 8 months of bleeding me dry and threatening me they're finally pulling the trigger. What do you think? Never been fired in my 9yr career so this is new to me. He hasn't cancelled our call for tomorrow so I'm def going to put him on the spot and ask if he doesn't bring it up.
