You know what’s fun, being the only cashier on a register and being told “the line’s getting long, you need to move faster”

It's BTS season, and the schedule is worse than usual. Got asked to stay longer this week and I took some extra hours because the start time was reasonable. But holy cow. Is customer service backed up? “Hey can you spare a cashier” Is there candy to push? “we need someone to do that” Cart dude called out? (or more recently, NO cart guy until almost 1pm?) “can one of you go get carts” Yet we keep being told we need to be mindful of the lines and not let them get too long before we call for backup…and the managers will get on us for not moving faster to check people out. Oh and then they wonder why people are leaving. And then next thing you know you're left there, doing your best and being told it's still not enough (Oh and why didn't you ask them if they…

And then next thing you know you're left there, doing your best and being told it's still not enough (Oh and why didn't you ask them if they wanted our store card? Don't just ask if they have our app, say (Store name) app!

I'm tired.
