double standards/coworkers complaining behind my back

gonna get to the point and list them out. summer job, college student type entry position for reference •theres a lot of downtime. the other employee in my position goes into his cubicle and surfs the internet with headphones on, nobody says a thing. i’m expected to sit in open view of the supervisor and not allowed to even check my phone for emails •staff will tell me “you’re doing great!” to my face when I ask for feedback and guidance (they’re assigned to be a mentor type role to me), then complain to my higher ups behind me. i usually find out in an e-mail weeks later detailing the very thing I asked for feedback on. •get reprimanded in email for checking my phone for like 20 seconds every hour during downtime. see other employees do it all the time. no consequences. •worked through lunch and couldn’t eat until…

•get reprimanded in email for checking my phone for like 20 seconds every hour during downtime. see other employees do it all the time. no consequences.
•worked through lunch and couldn’t eat until 6 hours into my shift, still finish within 30 min. get yelled at for not approving alternate lunch. supervisor takes regular 1 hour+ lunch whenever they want. other intern allowed enough time to get gas, order out, commute back, and then eat for another 15.

i don’t claim to be perfect by any means, but to be reprimanded for something I see other employees – not just my superiors but also people in the same role/experience – do scot free, is infuriating.

i’ve also worked 2 tutoring jobs, 2 internships, and 3 therapy clinics in the past with no issues whatsoever. not sure what’s different here.
