I have a remote customer service job. It was nice for awhile, but they’re recently hired soulless individuals to head the customer service department. In the last month they have:
- fired our entire internal comms department out of the blue
- fired my coworker the day she put her mom on hospice
- today, wrote a coworker up for needing time off due to her mom having a stroke
- put a cap on unpaid time off
- forbid us from “distributing literature” at work
- changed step increases from tenure-based to performance-based
Customer service is designed to have no room for growth by them. I’ve heard through the grapevine that the reason from higher ups is due to “our poor life choices” that have led us to this place.
I want to unionize. I am disgusted by them and how they treat the people doing the heavy lifting for them. How do I get started?
I don’t care if they fire me.
