Area manager said I can’t take my break due to short staff

Hi all. So currently there is a taxi strike in my country and due to this a LOT of people can't get to work because they use public transport. So I'm(f24) the only person working at my store (retail) and I'm working normal shifts (7-8 hours) and my area manager said they don't want the stores closed so we must eat our lunch at the counter out of sight, and we can't really take a break. My contract states that after 5 hours of work I'm allowed a 30 minute unpaid lunch break. What do I do? I'm tired and feeling burnt out and I feel like I deserve my break.
