My mom has been working at this shitty company and during that time she has been dealing with medical issues where it's made it difficult for her to work. Because of this she has been frequently having to visit doctors and was recently in the ER for a blood pressure at 253/139 and anomia. Afterwards she visited her doctor again that wrote a note saying she would be out until x day to see how her new blood pressure meds would affect her.
Now apparently the company “policy” was they don't care about the note they wanted her to call off every day so she could accumulate points. So from my understanding they wanted to try and make it look like they fired her for attendence even though those absences were medical reasons.
There is a couple other things but from that alone I'm pretty sure we can take legal action against them.
We live in Minnesota and I'm looking for advice how to handle this properly. Who should I be trying to call right now?
