I left a job I just started in California due to needing to go to an inpatient rehab facility.
My manager is trying to tell me to resign and that the company will not contest an unemployment claim.
I emailed HR asking if they will contest an unemployment claim and they said:
“While I cannot guarantee what the state California will approve you for, XXXXXXXXX will not contest your application. ” from HR lady
Do I resign and leave in “good standing” like my manager wants or tell him to fire me? He claims it will be easier to hire me back when I am doing well again…
