I work in a small company with only 15 or so employees in the office and no one talks to each other while at their desks, even if its for something work related, they will send a slack
Its very awkward to have someone 5 feet away message me asking for help with something.
This is my first office job, I’m young and introverted/socially awkward and even I’m finding this type of communication to be odd. I got a hang of the corpo speak and emoji use but messaging people online that are within arms reach is just mind boggling to me.
Whats even the point of being in office if everyone acts like theyre remote anyway.
