I'll preface this by saying that despite growing up very poor, I have blessed with alot of great opportunities in life. I have a very supportive family, I have an amazing partner, I own a home, and I have a college degree. However, if I had even half of those things right now in my life, I think I'd barely be surviving in this society.
I know many people are feeling the burden of uncertain economics of the last decade pluz and I know that many here think that this is only the beginning. It makes me so sad to see others struggle but I think the saddest part, is that most if not all my peers have been struggling since before they were even legal working age. In many ways, it's all they have ever known and most have nothing to show for it.
I won't ramble too much further with the anecdotal since most of you get it, but I have been recently thinking to myself where I'd be right now if life had been just slightly different. That's when I realized I'd probably be seriously contemplating moving to a different country where the population is in decline and the economy is relatively strong. Places such as Italy and Japan are looking like great opportunities for young people right now compared to the hellscape that is the US economy.
My question:
How many of ya'll are seriously considering buying a one way ticket to find better economic opportunities elsewhere and never looking back?
All input is greatly appreciated!!
