Hi there. I am not sure if this is the right place to post and I apologize in advance for any grammar mistakes ( english is not my main language). So, I am finishing a course ( not goign to specify which and I am doing an internship. So far so good. I dont want to give many details in case someone from the company is on Reddit but its sort of a startup. I am enjoying my work and my boss is kind of chill. I have commented at work how I am learning programming as I enjoy it. He said I could use some hours of the intership when I dont have a lot of work to learn it. This sounded really cool of him ( he is not paying me, the government is). So, I started doing it. On the meantime I had applied several months ago to a programming course, fully sponsored and was accepted. The issue is I might have to finish my internship earlier. This is not a huge impact as I mostly assist the team. Now here comes the weird part and I wanted opinions if this is normal or not. Once I told my boss he started saying its a cool oportunity and then sort of changed hsi speach. It was giving me insights on programming, but only the bad ones. Asked me not to learn programming on work hours as he was only doing it to see if it profited his company. He is also insisting on the bad side of the language I chose. All of this when he did not offer me a position to stay after my internship as he wants someone more experienced and money is tight and only said perhaps we could colaborate in the future. The thing is doesnt know is that the work im doing doesnt take a lot of time and as such after his behaviour felt a bit off, I just do my work and then just chill, watch tv or play on the pc (im working from home). Does all od this sound off just for me?
