The gervais principle or why most people are poor and lost

There are 3 layers of workers in every company, the gervais principale is based on the american tv show the office: Most of you here are clueless, a couple are losers, and obviously a sociopath will laugh at this sub. – The sociopath ex david wallace: the asshole who is willing to do anything to make money, doesn't care about anyone and will fire, destroy, buy or sell the company as long as he makes money. – The loser ex oscar: he is more in a sense of an economic loser. He is smart and competent, but for whatever reason, ( his ethics, laziness, lack of ambition) he choose to do a job that is unchallenging and under his competency making just enough to live.

Most of them are detached and go by their day to day job and find fulfillment in life doing other more rewarding activities outside of their job.

– The clueless ex micheal, and by extension the majority of people in a company: he is mostly incompetent (micheal is an exception, they made him a good seller to make him more likable for us the viewer), not very smart, doesn't have any valuable skill he can trade, oblivious to all the fuckery happening around them, this is why when a massive layoff happen most the employees are dumbfounded and destroyed, they absolutely didn't see it coming. He is very loyal to his company because of his incompetency and lack of prospects (loyal because he has no other choice but he gaslight himself into believing he's doing it by virtue) this layer are the paper pushers who block everything, the frustrating assholes who fuck up everything.

– How it's structured:

When a company first start, it's always started by sociopaths, they are either founders or bring in the capital. Then they hire losers on purpose, competent people willing to work for little money. As the company become profitable the sociopath usually sell it for a very large sum of money and leave. Naturally the board promote the older experienced workers to take their place which usually is a competent loser, they look very good on paper but the loser has no ambition into becoming a leader, so after some time trying to keep the company afloat they start to exist too, as the losers exist the older clueless at the bottom get promoted, ( for ex I bet your direct superior perfectly fir this description, and I also bet this is how they got promoted despite their absolute incompetence ) as more clueless are promoted the company become more bugged down and inefficient, until they run it to the ground, that's where the sociopath make his entry again, buy the company, fire all the clueless, hire more losers and build it back then resell it when it's profitable again. This cycle continue until either the company go bankrupt or is merged to a major corporation.
