I find this so incredibly odd. Everytime my manager is on a sick leave, they come online to check messages and send replies. They also keep checking their email and sending replies. Like you’re not feeling well?!? You’re on a sick leave?!? The work can wait. It’s not like we’re doing rocket science and the entire company will collapse without your workaholism.
If I am not feeling well, I can’t make myself available to even speak to friends and family, let alone for WORK. Even a common cold can make a person exhausted and you will need rest to recover. How my manager stays obsessed with work during sick leaves and vacation days is beyond my imagination. Some people act like they own the company.
