Hello. I have been actively reading other people's story and finally decided to tell mine.
I finished my bachelor's degree at the end of July 2019 but I wasn't able to clear it because I had failed an exam, so I wasn't able to study ahead and I kept drifting for about an year and half and I had to pay debts and then my dad's friend got me this supervisor job at a small PVC pipe company. I started having decent salary, relative to the geographical area but soon I realised that even though I liked the job but I hated the timing and the bosses. I was working 13-14 hours everyday and I didn't have any days off at all. This kind of thing is very common in India because workers have no real rights and I was desperate at the time, as I had to not only pay debt but also prove to my parents that I can work and so I kept working like that for 14 months, i was forced to work sick and then I was free from debt that's when I called my boss and quit and they lost their shit and they started calling my parents, telling them that they're losing money because of me. My parents kept forcing me so I went and made some demands and they had no choice but to agree. I got 12 hours proper shift and that I will sleep if I am to work continuously and they agreed but begrudgingly. They then started targetting me and I completely stopped caring at one point.
They never liked me because I wasn't anti-worker. I didn't micromanage my workers, never cheated any worker out of their pay. I always got the work done. I didn't care whether they used their phones or listened to music while they worked.
I eventually got fired in April and even though I am unemployed and broke now but I am free
