Realizing I’ll Never Buy a House

Sorry for the rant but I’m frustrated and tired. I (33m) worked my ass off to change careers mid Covid. From web developer/marketer to commercial appraiser. Both my wife and i were born and raised in SoCal. She’s a licensed therapist and I’m an appraiser and we will probably never buy a home here. How do I know that?
