Worked as a seasonal Photography Lead for a company. The person I’m talking to was hired at the end of the season to do my job full-time.
Therefore, they no longer needed me and requested that I return three things:
A key fob to enter the building
Work ID
Uniform top
Only the KEY FOB was explicitly stated that I would have a clawback of $15 from my final paycheck if not returned.
I had already paid out the $15 from the previous season as we all knew that I would be coming back.
He knows all this but still they insisted on withholding my final paycheck until the three items in question were returned.
So, I looked up what the guidelines were for final pay and got this result.
My final day was April 24, 2023. They predictably cut my paycheck the very same day after I sent him this message:
