NURSE WAGE THEFT? Advice needed!!!!

Hi all, I’m a registered nurse working in a hospital that is always short staffed. I work 12 hour shifts and with our patient ratios, it is very rare to take a lunch, pee, or even drink water. Our time & attendance software is UKG dimensions and asks you “have you had a 30 minute uninterrupted lunch break?” when you clock out. I specifically remember not taking a lunch on a certain shift because of how high acuity my patients were. Today, I looked at my time card and noticed that the lunch deduction on that day had been edited out by my manager. She did not talk to me or anything. It was just edited out without my knowledge. And now I’m looking at my timecard and I’m noticing that most of my shifts since February (my start date) have been edited. So basically they have just been editing…

Hi all,

I’m a registered nurse working in a hospital that is always short staffed.

So basically they have just been editing my time card and putting in that i took a lunch even though I have not. I have a couple of questions:

  1. For those familiar with UKG, is there any way to check the editing history in the time card?

  2. What should I do next? There have been numerous times where the manager keeps interrogating me about my lunches, and telling me that I need to take them. There is literally no way to take an uninterrupted lunch because when i do sit down to eat, it is always interrupted by my phone ringing. I am always frank with them and tell them sometimes lunches are simply not possible because my patients always come first.

Thanks so much in advance! Any advice is appreciated.
