Just got a new job that is probably over before it starts because I wanted to work part time while keeping other job where I have senority/a lot of vacation/401k. Two different managers made clear during interviewing part time is ok. Now if I miss one day of training to work my other job I think I am canned because no one will answer me if it's ok to miss that day or will answer me what days they want me to work. Job is advertised as full time so I guess they bait and switched me. I just don't understand why it makes sense to lie to someone to onboard them. This type of stuff is exactly why I was so afraid to give up my current union job for a non union even tho the non union one is higher paying. I am single but if I had a family or college to attend to these people were gonna just lie to my face and tell me part time is 100 percent ok with them. I don't want to dox the company or people involved with this instance, I have posted company names before. What I want is to not be emotionally exhausted and sit on ZipRecruiter ready to cry asking why I am even wasting my time looking for a job because it is always a shit job or a lie. I can't even understand why someone would lie to onboard someone they know has a job when it instantly becomes an issue. People are 100 percent right to stop working and drop out of the labor market partly or entirely because at a certain point you are just sitting at the computer crying because everyone wants a slave and no one will work with you at least in US.
