I quit my job at a certain tech company named after a fruit because my manager breached confidentiality

…and literally nothing happened. My surgery was a very personal procedure that I wouldn’t want anyone knowing about (as a young woman who wasn’t ready to be a three letter word starting and ending with the letter M, if you catch my drift). I filed a complaint with HR, they said it had “been handled” (after giving me zero update, I had to ask myself). I was told I “didn’t get to know” what was going on, which yes, I know is procedure. It’s nice to know manager’s confidentiality was being protected. The same manager then refused to speak or look at me after I reported it, and eventually I put in my notice because everybody found out. I reported the retaliation to my store leader and in my resignation letter. This manager still works there in the same position. So yeah, f you fruit-store, your HR sucks, and so…
