Senior staff member assigned me a brand new client/project a few hours before I went on my 2 week vacation, best way to approach the situation?

A senior member of staff assigned me a new client a few hours before I’m going on my vacation. They knew I was going on vacation. I then asked them if they could assign the introductory discussions and calls to someone else, they asked me to squeeze in a quick call after I’ve already said I’m not able to take a call. I’ve now told them again that I won’t be taking any calls / emails with the client. Any ideas? It’s the type of job where you can get assigned new clients regularly, but not that often (maybe once a month).
