2 strikes, you’re out?

Last week I had a phone interview for a job. 30 minutes after the scheduled time I sent the interviewer a message and asked if they needed to reschedule. They called me an hour & a half past the scheduled time & didn’t interview me, they just mentioned a couple brief things about my resume then set up a time for me to come to the job to be interviewed in person by someone else. Fine, whatever, I was a bit irritated because I’d been with my family before this & had to head home early in preparation for the phone interview so it kind of wasted my evening. I show up to the in person interview & am informed that the person interviewing me had called out that morning. Fine, whatever, I was a bit irritated because I’d been with my family before this & had to head home early in preparation for the phone interview so it kind of wasted my evening.

I show up to the in person interview & am informed that the person interviewing me had called out that morning. They sat me in the waiting area to see if there was anyone else available to talk to me but the receptionist was confused about why I was there & asked me several times what I was applying for. 20 minutes go by & I’m finally told by the same receptionist that they can’t get ahold of anyone else to talk to me but that one of the regular employees might would speak to me, so I just stand up & say that they can have someone call me at their convenience. The receptionist asks if I have to leave… well I’ve been here almost half an hour & no one seems to know why, so of course I’m gonna leave. I just reiterate to have someone give me a call, thanked them & left.

I’m getting mixed reactions from family, some saying I should give them another chance, some saying to forget them & move on. It was a pretty good position with possible benefits (but I actually don’t know about that because no one has actually talked to me about the job) so I’m a little perturbed… but I don’t want to work someone so unorganized like that where my time & abilities may not even be appreciated. What do you guys think?
