Backstory:
Just out of college (35 years old). I wanted to better my life and my families life. So I got an accounting degree.
So it started 5 weeks ago. I wanted to help. Show that I care about the company and it’s success so I asked for more work. And they happily gave it to me. After that it my work took a hit I got to much. I fell behind. My work started to go to shit.
We had a meeting about me falling behind and I was told it’s was better if next time I say something. I agreed and felt foolish. I should have said something. They told me they are taking work away. (Probably for the best).
But They left me with nothing. They gave me work I have never done. Yes it was the simplest thing they could find but it wasn’t what they trained me on. I did the few hours of work… not great, made the best of it. Didn’t speak up untill I got my footing. Last week was the first time I felt I knew what I was doing. And I told them I was ready for more. Again…that was a mistake…
They told me they gave me 6 hours of work for the week. What was I doing with the rest of my time? It wasn’t 6 hours but I let her yell. She curresd and yelled. Turns out it was a setup. Some kinda test. She said a lot “we like your but what the fuck!?” Told me I was stealing from her. I didn’t even have a chance to talk, when I did she interrupted and yelled some more. She said she was going to give me one more chance. With 36 hours of work.
She told me if I made one more mistake I was fired. …I was so scared of making a mistake I made about 10 in 3 days.
They never did give me more work. And they canceled my training tomorrow. A meeting with the lady who yelled at me wass scheduled for tomorrow. Got an email around 3pm today.
