I Stirred the Pot at Work

I'm a low level employee at a Fortune 500 company. They rank very high on Human Rights Campaign's Corporate Equality Index and many other lists for diversity, inclusion and such. My local warehouse does not follow our corporate's culture and has many issues. Very little racial diversity (far from reflecting the demographics of our metro area), terrible treatment of women, little to no recognition of LGBTQIA+, and worst of all there's loads bullying against people with physical and mental disabilities or just anyone they don't like. I could go into specifics that happened to me but I don't want to put anything too personally identifying out there. The management team was recently forced to start a DEI (diversity, equity, and inclusion) committee and they've made only some very small gestures. It's made up entirely of management. I could go into specifics that happened to me but I don't want to put anything too personally identifying out there.

The management team was recently forced to start a DEI (diversity, equity, and inclusion) committee and they've made only some very small gestures. It's made up entirely of management. After seeing they weren't doing enough to rectify how bad the culture here is I practically forced myself onto the committee. I finally put them on blast during a round table of employees that was held by HR to “see how everything was going”. I called out everything. Worried that I might elevate this further up the chain, HR suggested to management that I be put on the DEI committee. I have worked here for a while and have had discussions with the only person of color in management he told me not to stir the pot and that is not worth it. Bu it's time.

I'm here to ask for ideas on things to bring up in the committee. Statistics to use. Suggestions for websites with good resources. Or specific organizations I should contact or collaborate with. Things of that nature. I've already thought about emailing it HRC but I haven't done it yet. So give me your best ideas.
