I work for local authority (Scotland) and due to lack/poor management and overall failings we are currently working severely understaffed and everyone is doing triple workloads.
We are expected to juggle online interactions with customers while taking inbound calls from other customers and everyday we get further and further behind.
Due to being refused time off – I have annual of 12 days and accured overtime hours to take of 14hours.
I have tried to use AL and overtime and to book any day over next 4weeks – all rejected due to lack of staff and other sickness.
Genuinely lost at what to do….
