So, the company I work for is currently negotiating with our “union” for a new contract. The problem is we, as workers, don't have a union per se, just some student council equivalent the company set up.
This week we got an exciting, new proposal from the company and our representative basically can't tell us any of the relevant details. You know, the hush-hush ubersecret stuff like “how much is the pay increase?” or “what percent of profit sharing is being implemented?” uncommon things like that.
I don't know which is more insulting, the audacity of these bourgeoisie diamond-studded lightbright chasers to actually put this deal out in the open unironically or that they expect us to be dumb enough to fall for it.
Idid speak-up and ask how we are supposed to vote without knowing any of the specifics discussed, like the exact pay raises and such, and the “union” rep said he is going to be voting for us but is gathering our input on how to vote so if we have any questions or opinions, let him know. Sir, I cannot have an opinion on information you won't share with me.
Do you want an actual union? Because BS like this is how you get one. I know this is certainly kicking me to put in my apps elsewhere.
