I am an 18 year old male working part-time in a supermarket, I have had a new manager for a few months, one who is much ruder then the previous one, he makes me do one thing, and only one thing called leveling (which is basically taking stuff in back of the shelf and moving it to the front) before him I would do multiple things, like stocking shelves, refilling soda, and leveling when there is nothing to stock, now I only level since he took charge. Wednesday I was told to level from one heading towards 11, another guy was told to level from 11 towards aisle 1, I did 1 in about an hour and moved to 2,3,4 later I am called to the back and am asked where the other guy leveling is, I did not know, I said I last saw him he was in 8, he told me to follow him and he went to 1, he found the other guy in produce and told him his work didn't seem done in the aisles he claimed to have finished and told him to go back to work, he then asks a co-worker around my age to stand around when he spoke to me, he told me it was because we were in a union and he wasn't (don't really understand this part) he points to the bottom row of the vinegar and some salad dressing which I seem to have missed and he asked if that was leveled, I didn't speak as I was petrified, he said “I'm asking a question” I replied “no” he yelled that he was ready to fire me right now, because i lied to him about this being completed, he told me to fix it and asked me when my next shift was, I said Friday, he said when I came in Friday “your going to tell me if you want this job or not” I saw him later and asked if 1 was fine after my redo of that section, he said yes but to do it right the first time, tomorrow is Friday and I have no idea what I'm expected to say, I want this job as I still see my high school friends here as they are my co-workers, I have felt sick in the stomach all day thinking about tomorrow, I am scared that if I am fired that it will bar me from other jobs, this job is my only experience so I have quite a bit of fear going forward.
