This takes place in the U.S. btw. So I worked for a company and my coworker/manager ended up being a back stabber. So the place I worked at, it only staffs 2 people per store which is first honestly kinda ridiculous. And last week I was super sick (like couldn’t leave the toilet) and had called my boss letting them know I was sick and going home. I had also asked to see if I could use my pto to cover my missed wages and was told that it was fine. I ended up quitting a few days later. I was just wondering if she didn’t systematically approve it but verbally did, can they not pay me it?
