So long story short the small business I was working with for over 6 years recently got bought up by a much bigger company. A few months ago I was offered a higher position but the way it was presented to me was not convincing at all, I mean even the salary that was given seemed too good to be true and the superior came out with it out of tin air (kid you not he sat there and looked up to think about it). Anyway, I turned it down as I'm looking to exit onto another industry anyway but today while out sick I get a text from a close friend in the company telling me they just switched me to a whole other position and other people got moved as well with no choice, they just said this is where you will be now. I'm completely thrown off by this and don't even know what to think or feel other than confused as to why they would just toss people around like this? Should I just accept faith when I go back or should I try to see if I have an option? This has never happened to me before.
