We will put a small amount in your 401k and we ask you not to take it out.
Don’t get me wrong, most employees elsewhere get nothing, so it’s a nice gesture. BUT I’m struggling to pay bills and afford my medical care. My retirement plan is to die and I could really use that money now to help with my mortgage that just increased.
If you give me that money in anyway, don’t tell me not to touch it. I’m an adult with adult problems and adult bills. I have to survive now….not worry about a retirement that is never going to happen.
