I have worked at a brewery in Michigan for 3 years. Within the last year, we started using an app for scheduling purposes. My boss is lazy, and he doesn't make our schedule with enough notice for me to get childcare or have a personal life. Today is Monday the 28th of August, and I don't even know if I have to work on Labor Day or not. This is the second holiday in a row that this has happened. He also waited this long to release the schedule for the 4th of July. Some weeks, I won't know if I work on a sunday until 2 days before. I'm getting burnt out. I have offered to help with the burden of creating a schedule for the bar, but he refuses any help. I have a new child, and my wife and I are struggling to give adequate notice to our babysitters when I have to work. I don't have a set schedule. I never know what my days off will be. This also applies to my time off requests (EVEN THOUGH MY BOSS REQUIRES 14 DAYS NOTICE OF A TIME OFF REQUEST). I have started taking screenshots of my scheduling app since the conversation where I offered to help with the schedule. I'm not sure what else to do.
