My manager is telling me it is wrong to format documents and that it is “bad” to do so. She apologizes for her OCD and PMDD but continues her daily episodes anyway. I have to take the brunt because that’s just how she is.

She's micromanaging me to the max and apologizes for her mental disorders. I don't know which side I'm going to get from her every day I go into the office. She continues to give me bad advice on “how to do things properly,” i.e., Don't format Word documents because “it's hard to edit.” She is constantly condescending rude, and does not listen to me when I disagree with her. She says I'm arguing with her. But there is no room for growth, no raise in sight (I have been there for four years). I'm receiving bad, condescending “advice” from her, and her mental disorders are making the job harder than it needs to be.

My only issue is that our CEO is a GREAT guy! I would feel bad for leaving him. But this manager of mine makes it very hard to be motivated to come to work.
