After seeing all that is happening at this company i dont care anymore. I left the company this month after being there for lets say way too long. This company needs to fix so much of the way it operates its fucking ridiculous. I have had to help out at around 5-7 stores and been asked to work at 3 I declined because its the same pay and a much much farther commute to do a favor that isnt paid back to you. This company will inch closer and closer to closure if it does not treat their employees with at least a small amount of respect. Prolonged hours without breaks, denial of breaks for employees working in the gas station across from the store parking lot with no bathrooms, a union that takes dues and lets employees and managers that make people uncomfortable and unsafe continue to work because of staffing concerns. If you work at Stop and Shop you know what I am talking about. I’ve seen it in multiple stores. Stop snd Shop will hire employees back to the company that their system straight up tells them not to and then doesnt take your side when a situation happens. If your children work here, ask them if they had a good day at work. Ask them if they felt safe at work. Everyone should work somewhere they dont find reasons not to go in and feel relieved the second theyre out. Take this rant and dont let this company ruin your future, reflect on whether its worth it.
