Hey everyone. I'm asking on behalf of a friend of mine what they should do. So my friend works in the medical field and recently their string of healthcare providers were hacked in a cyber attack. The hospitals is shut down, they can't treat patients, they cant pay workers and haven't been able to let them work for a week or so now. Problem is that they also won't lay anyone off so they can get unemployment while their job is temporary shut down. Is there anything they can do legally to get pay? Will the hospital be required to pay them for this time when they do go back to work?
