Hope you all in this sub won't mind me asking this kind of question here. Please help me know where to go if this isn't welcome here.
I'm in a position to create a vacation / time off policy for a small and growing company. Current policy is PTO-based with a combined pool of sick days and vacation days. I told management that I thought this policy created misaligned incentives and they agreed with my idea and told me to craft a new policy and propose it.
I want to craft a policy that promotes trust and humanity. From a business perspective we've had a lot of trouble building a good team and now we've got one and need to grow more. We've seen how toxicity and distrust ruin everything, so we want people (including management) to trust each other and look out for each others' interests both professionally and personally.
I'd love to hear what people from this sub have to say to the task ahead of me! All ideas are welcome please!
