They threatened to replace me after having a motorbike accident.

Sorry head of time for the rant but I needed to tell somebody about it. I was working for a middle class restaurant around valentines when it was quite busy. I was driving to work when my bike went out from under me and I hit against the curb. I was working for a middle class restaurant around valentines when it was quite busy. I was driving to work when my bike went out from under me and I hit against the curb. My back was killing me and there was no way I could go to work

So I phoned my manager and explained what happened, how I was injured and couldn't come in. She asked me if I had a doctors note to prove it. Which I didn't, I told her it just happened and my shift was in 10 minutes so I wouldn't get one in time.

She told me “It feels like I'm trying to get a free day off on the busy period” and that “I've only been with them a few weeks (half a year)” and that “I can easily be replaced.”

I got annoyed and pointed out how ridiculous it is to say things like that to someone who just had an accident and she told me “your attitude is appalling, if you dont want the job, dont show up.

I didn't show up.
