We’re simple phone operators and data entry. Customers call in, state their order, we enter it, then send it to the warehouse. It’s an hourly position, no commission. However commission is generated off every order, it just goes to the manager and 3 sales guys. Even if they had nothing to do with the order. Now the new boss (old manager quit leaving us without a manager for 7 months) is telling us we’re supposed to be upselling calls, getting customers to buy more, increasing the order values. And the amount of commission the manager and sales guys would get. Not us. This comes at the same time I asked to use/take two days paid vacation time, it was approved, I take it off, only to come back to be told that wasn’t happening now.
