Watch out if you’re applying to or get contacted by any jobs from Shilpa Pharma. I applied for a CSR position, wfh, benefits, ect. Got contacted, went through a chat interview (first red flag) and was hired, sent a formal offer letter, and then was going through trying to set up delivery of equipment. My dumb ass didn’t really question why they had to send me a check to send to their vendor for equipment delivery. Then this morning, I see that the check (which had cleared a day prior) had been withdrawn. Luckily(sorta?) because of money transfer issues, I had to put it on a personal card, so once the check was withdrawn my account didn’t hit the red, but now it’s on my card. Hoping I can dispute it once it clears but right now I just feel really fucking stupid. And tired. I’ve been unemployed since April, applied to over 100 jobs, had three interviews, one offer that I turned down once I “got” this position, and now I have to go back and ask if the other place will still have me. Oh, and that job didn’t even pay me enough to live on my own even if I managed to wipe out all my debt, And I don’t even live in a super hcol area. Stack a relationship falling apart on top of all this and I’m just about done.
