I've been just barely getting by supporting me and my partner, so I had already begun seeking new employment before it got to the point where after a new manager came on staff that I needed to (for the first time in my life) ask HR to intervene because of this manager's behavior towards me and my coworkers. Which ultimately resulted in little to no action on their side of things to I guess no surprise but, thankfully I was lucky enough to get a great interview with another company offering triple my current wages to come on board.
The only (now massive) issue being I don't start this position for about a month from now and I let my HR know this when I was pulled in to seemingly receive retaliatory action scrutinizing my work performance (I clarified claims my manager made against me after reporting them that I wasn't doing my work or was refusing to when it's clear I was and always had). Now come today they “advanced my resignation” aka terminated my employment leaving me without income until I move onto my next position and worrying if I'll even be able to make rent.
I've honestly never had a workplace this unprofessional and disrespectful and I'm shocked/still reeling and ready to throw up anxious about how I'm gonna pay bills realizing I never should have trusted them in the first place. I didn't know where else to go but I just needed to rant, sorry if it's the wrong place for it.
