Interview bait and switch

My friend is job hunting as an accountant and had an interview with YMCA of Reading today. The interviewer asked my friend what her salary range was and my friend answered, $65-70k. Because that was exactly what was listed on the indeed job posting. The interviewer came back with, “we are a non-profit so we can't really afford that.” When my friend pointed out that was what was on their job posting she wouldn't admit that it was a mistake but instead stated they were looking to hire between $50-55k. My friend said they could do 55k and the interviewer started to minimize my friend's experience as an accountant saying she didn't have enough accounts payable experience to justify paying the high end of the salary range. This is a joke because anyone who knows accounting knows that accounts payable is one of the easiest sectors of accounting! The interviewer…

This was a blatant bait and switch and has really crushed my friend, as if job hunting isn't soul crushing enough! I encouraged her to flag them on indeed…any other places we could post her experience to warn other job applicants and encourage the YMCA to adopt ethical interviewing and hiring practices?
