I left a toxic job 2 months ago and they’re spiralling

I quit a decent paying job back in June. Living in a HCOL city, people thought I was nuts (I live alone and pay all my own bills, cheque-to-cheque) The straw that broke the camel’s back was my severely unprofessional director of my department. The straw that broke the camel’s back was my severely unprofessional director of my department. I have since started a new job in the same field at a new place that has better structure and scheduling (so far).

I’ve maintained contact with many friends at the previous job, and they’ve been golden about filling me in on all the hot gossip surrounding my previous director’s bad behaviour.

A few gems:

-he was making inappropriate conversation with a young lady who filled in one of the vacant roles. She quit with notice, was denied her exit interview, and is now processing to the local labour board.

-he lipped off a well respected client/member who is now threatening to sue the establishment.

-his behaviour to other clients/members has resulted in an actual lineup to the General Manager’s office of people who wish to complain about him.

There’s consequences to betting on the wrong horse, people. Never be afraid to walk away!
