I know that there are some considered to be more of the “specialized” jobs have more of a “specific” education requirement. But what would you consider to be the best major to study if your goal is to get a more standard/basic level career? I was thinking criminal justice? Maybe business…? Would like to go a route that’s more online vs in person too. Some background info- I graduated with my Associate in Arts degree before being accepted/graduated to an Occupational Therapy (OT) assistant program. I have been working in the healthcare field for 10+ years now in multiple roles, and have been burnout and ready for a change since COVID. With all things considered, I think that transitioning to a government position would make me the most satisfied in work/balance life long term. I briefly worked for the IRS one tax season (previous experience). As well as the majority of my family already being government employees (for SSA, GSA, DHS, etc). So I would really like to go to school to learn something that would benefit me for this type of career path!

Hope this makes sense and isn’t too confusing.. Thanks in advance for your help/suggestions!
