No overtime due to “Unplugged Fridays”?

Hey guys, For context, I’m an hourly employee, but I work mostly remote 8am to 5pm. My boss just approved me to work overtime, so I logged about 4 hours of OT for the past two weeks. Just a bit here and there on the weekend and in the early mornings/late nights, none of which were on Fridays. The company does half days on Fridays, so hourly employees log “Unplugged” hours from 1pm-5pm (which I work through some of, but I get paid regardless). I logged the hours and they got approved by my boss. Today, I get a notification from payroll saying that they “reduced” my unplugged time so that I stay at 40 hours per week. Are they allowed to finesse hours around like this? I understand if I tried to work OT on a Friday, but my OT was always on other days. I’m in the minority…

I’m in the minority anyways as most of the company is salaried, so I feel like I’m getting cheated out of my OT and unplugged hours.
