The Irony of Labor Day

Isn’t funny how this is a day supposed to be for workers but it’s really only a holiday for those with middle class/wealthier jobs to consume more. Retailers and food service especially are ironic, they still have people work with no extra benefits and push Labor Day sales. How do people not see the hypocrisy in that, you get a day off at the expense of people work jobs not deemed worthy of getting the holiday off. People come in and say “I can’t believe you’re working today” well of course I am, you’re here. It’s just so frustrating.
