So, my current boss, (I work at a gas station) seems to love being a bit snarky. She will usually text me mostly telling me what I did wrong or something like asking what happened because some stuff was all weird. Anyway, it definitely seems like she has favorites amongst the employees that I work with, and I am not one of them. She also seemingly loves to watch the store through the securities cameras when she’s not there, almost as if she’s watching us employees in case we do something wrong, or Incase someone steals from the store I guess. Overall the interactions I’ve had with her via sms were more times than not, ones where I was confronting her about something or she was confronting me most recently we had a bit of a disaster mess in the men’s bathroom so I put up a sub because bench it or not this was the second time I’ve had to clean up human shit (gross).
It’s overall making me feel like I’m being treated like shit. I’m a broke college student whereas most of my other employees are mostly older than me with some kids of their own. I’ve had to ask for more hours just so I could have enough money to cover tuition costs because I’m not scheduled much as it is. Not only this but I’m pretty certain my boss has misreported shift shortages on atleast one or two of my paychecks ($200 and over $100 respectively) when I asked about it the first time I saw it, it was apparently and error that the office had made. The second time she just simply said that she couldn’t find where I was short on the store cameras. Ever since that last time I’ve been bringing a notebook and calculating the difference from what the shift report says compared to what I actually have in the register. I’ve had the notebook in view of the cameras at some point, ands I think she figured out I caught in because I haven’t gotten any big amounts docked from my paycheck since then. I told another cashier some of these details and they said they’ve had shift shortages docked from their pay as well, but not anything over $100. I don’t have much proof other than those paychecks but I’m fairly certain that my boss may have been taking money from my paychecks to line her own fucking pockets. I am currently waiting to hear back from my local Walmart, as I applied for a job there today, so hopefully I will be able to quit.
