Just got promoted to manager this year, and just finished a project. I'm on the internal talent pool and open for a new client/project and I've been informed if I don't get an assignment in two weeks I'll be sacked. It used to be two months, but they brought it down to 2 weeks due to cost cuts because they're not making their revenue goals for the year. I'm supposed to apply to internal openings as much as possible, but my manager told me I should stat looking for something external since I'm updating my CV.
