Coworker let go after asking for a raise

Man I don’t even know where to start A coworker who I trusted and clicked with a lot was let go for asking for a raise and when she didn’t get the raise she put in her two weeks and they terminated her the same day. I’m frustrated for her considering that she was a hard worker who was underpaid by a lot. She was the only coworker I could trust because we were both quiet, reserved, and financially on our own so we related a lot. I feel so much rage because not that long ago I was in the same position with my last job where I got fired for asking for a raise. We’re both in our early 20s, students, and trying to get by while going to school. It’s a small family/friend business in a sense that everyone there has their positions because they know someone…

A coworker who I trusted and clicked with a lot was let go for asking for a raise and when she didn’t get the raise she put in her two weeks and they terminated her the same day.

It’s a small family/friend business in a sense that everyone there has their positions because they know someone or are friends with the CEOs.

The atmosphere at this place reminds me of high school drama, especially since it’s corporate which is why I keep to myself for the most part but fuck dude, i’m just reminded again about how corporations don’t care about the workers, I hate how my coworkers supervisor is acting like everything is dandy, and now my coworker probably can’t pay her rent.

I hate corporate America, I wish I was rich enough to help her but a girl can only dream.
